What it is

A household appliance, treated like one: it sits on a shelf, it stays on, and it works for the people in the house. Prometheus, the local AI, and every personal service keep your own data on your own device.

Operating system: Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS, headless by design
Boots to: One home screen; kiosk boot, desktop mode behind permissions
Account required: None for the device; your services use your own login
Network: Local by default; updates are user-triggered only
What is logged: Nothing. Nothing is logged and nothing is sent anywhere.

The device is fully usable with no membership account at all. The AI and the personal services ask you to sign in on your device, with your own login - never with an account of ours.

No phoning home by default: the device does not contact us on its own, and nothing leaves your house unless you send it.
Approval, every time: any feature that needs the internet asks you explicitly first - each time it needs it, not once at setup.
Zero logging: no telemetry, no usage history, no analytics - nothing about you is recorded.
Search, on your terms: web search runs through the private search service, only with your approval, and is unavailable to child accounts.
Fully functional offline: out of the box, the core experience works with no internet connection.
